Upcoming No-Cost Training and Events

PI offers many different levels of training and events to learn about PROFIBUS, PROFINET and IO-Link. From the introductory up to the advanced, PI events are intended to be educational and informative. This month we highlight some of PI’s no-cost events going on around the globe.


How to get the best out of PROFIBUS, PROFINET & IO-Link

Taking place at the Advanced Manufacturing Technology Centre in Coventry, this free-to-attend seminar will address the key practical issues arising from the use of digital communications technologies in automated manufacturing and process industry applications, with particular attention being paid to network design, installation and commissioning through to functional safety & cybersecurity, EMC, and Industry 4.0.

IO-Link User Workshop

Where: Vicenza, Italy
When: Thursday October 25, 2018

The workshop aims to provide companies with a basic knowledge and general overview of IO-Link. The placement of IO-Link within the automation pyramid and fieldbus systems will be illustrated. The interactions between different IO-Link components, as well as their possibilities of application will be described. New this year: the ability to choose different workshop tracks based on your needs!

Free One-Day PROFINET Training

Where: Houston, TX | Charlotte, NC | Nashville, TN
When: Tue, Oct 30 | Wed, Nov 14 | Wed, Dec 5

Free one-day training classes for PROFINET are given across North America throughout the year. They serve to educate and assist in all technical aspects of using the protocols. This FREE class prepares the student to apply PROFINET in his own project. Lunch is included. Technical details of the technology are provided along with practical demonstrations. All students receive a training manual that includes a hard copy of presentations plus reference material containing the slides and network design, installation, commissioning, and security guide manuals. Each student will receive a certificate for 5.5 Professional Development Hours (PDH).
