The PI Joint Booth at the Hannover Messe 2019

True to the motto “PROFINET – The Backbone of Industrie 4.0”, PI is participating with its joint booth at this year’s Hannover Messe from April 1 to 5, 2019. The main topic for PI, the implementation of industrial communication for Industrie 4.0, is the core of the joint booth.

Visitors will have the opportunity to convince themselves of the interaction of PROFINET, TSN, and OPC UA with the participation of devices from different manufacturers on the basis of various use-cases. This can also be clearly observed in the “Industrie 4.0 Demonstrator”. The increase in flexibility based on a modular and convertible factory, the increase in productivity through analysis of files in the cloud, and the shortening of the time-to-market through virtual commissioning are shown as application scenarios. In addition, a live demo with products from several drives manufacturers will be presented. A live demo of security mechanisms in PROFINET networks rounds out the topic Industrie 4. 0.

With regard to functional safety, PROFIsafe will be presented by means of a recently updated live demo. Furthermore, the mode of operation of the new standard Safety over OPC UA based on PROFIsafe for controller-controller communication will be presented.

PI’s proven technologies will be presented in the form of a Factory Automation Wall, an IO-Link Wall and a Process Automation Live Demo showing the variety of devices. The IO-Link Community will also exhibit the topics IO-Link Safety and IO-Link Wireless. In addition, the FDI and Ethernet to the Field (APL – Advanced Physical Layer) technologies developed in cooperation with other organizations will be represented at the PI joint booth.

PI and its worldwide represented co-exhibitors are looking forward to your visit at the well-known location in Hall 9 Booth D68, and to interesting conversations about PI technologies.
