Four IO-Link User Workshops will take place over the next few weeks in the countries of Hungary, France, Germany, and Italy. Additional workshops targeted towards IO-Link device manufacturers include an Interop and an IO-Link Safety Workshop, both taking place in Germany.
Enthusiasm in the PROFINET developer community’s well-established Plugfests continues to surprise us! Dozens of developers from different companies came together to test their new products. There was a special focus on testing redundancy features such as MRP, S2, and DR.
Last month the IO-Link Member Assembly took place in Frankfurt, Germany. Dozens of members came together and learned about the new V1.1.3 specification and other future-oriented topics: wireless, safety, profiles, etc. Up next, join us at the IO-Link Interop Workshop in Germany in October!
In Germany, the PI Konferenz saw record attendance. Also in Germany, Frank Welzel from HARTING was elected as a new member of the PNO Advisory Board, following the departure of Uwe Gräff, also of HARTING. Meanwhile in nearby Belgium, the IO-Link Group there held a successful exhibition at the Indumation 2019 Fair.
True to the motto “PROFINET - The Backbone of Industrie 4.0”, PI is participating with its joint booth at this year's Hannover Messe from April 1 to 5, 2019. The main topic for PI, the implementation of industrial communication for Industrie 4.0, is the core of the joint booth.
The program for the 6th ‘PI Konferenz’ is finalized. Topics such as TSN and OPC UA as solutions for the smart factory, real-time information availability, field-to-cloud data, security enhancements for secure communications, and reference to PI technologies are just a few examples.
