Updated Leak Tester with PROFINET

Cincinnati Test Systems has updated its Sentinel Blackbelt with new features, differential pressure/vacuum decay, six additional standard mass flow ranges, added manifolds and upgraded valves, enhanced test station control, with 12 inputs/12 outputs, and expanded communication including PROFINET.


Easy and Tool-Free PROFNET Connections

The highlight of the new RJ45 series from HARTING are the integrated blades, which shorten the individual strands to the correct length when closing the connector. They are suitable for both flexible and solid wires from AWG 26 to 22, and are available for IP20 and IP65/67. These RJ45 plugs are perfect for PROFINET network installations.


World’s First 3-axis Servo with PROFINET/PROFIdrive/PROFIsafe

KEBA will present the KeDrive D3 multi-axis drive system with PROFINET IRT at SPS 2021. PROFIdrive allows profile-compliant integration into the automation system, PROFIsafe ensures safe communication and motion monitoring in your machine. Scalable with rated currents from 1.5A – 250A, the compact three-axis modules reduces space requirements in the control cabinet. Energy-efficient concepts for peak load reduction or the single-cable solution save costs during system installation and operation.


New Drive Systems with PROFINET

NORD DRIVESYSTEMS has released two new series of variable frequency drives with PROFINET connections: the NORDAC ON/ON+ and the SK500P. The new NORDAC ON/ON+ variable frequency drives were developed to meet the special requirements of horizontal conveyor technology and for use with the new IE5+ synchronous motor (NORDAC ON+). The NORDAC PRO is the variable frequency drive for all applications.


New Universal Code Reader with PROFINET

The new VOS Ident from Pepperl+Fuchs offers the perfect solution for a wide variety of application requirements. They are suitable for both small and large distances from 70 mm up to 2 m. The VOS Ident devices not only impress with their large scanning ranges, they also reliably read extremely small codes with a module size of up to 0.1 mm. The sensors can be easily integrated into PLCs via PROFINET.


First Ethernet-APL Field Switch for Process Automation

With the introduction of its Ethernet-APL field switch, Pepperl+Fuchs is now presenting the first product worldwide that enables direct, fast, barrier-free access to and from field instrumentation via Ethernet-APL. For the first time, users in process plants are able to use Ethernet-based protocols such as PROFINET in the entire plant.


Ultrasonic Distance Sensor Utilizes IO-Link

Low installation depth and easy integration of the sensor via an M18 thread or the drill holes on the housing – the advantages of the established R format have been appreciated for years in the field of photoelectronic sensors. Wenglor sensoric’s ultrasonic distance sensors from the new U1RT series combine this format with the tried-and- tested ultrasonic technology of the U1KT and UMD product series, thus setting new standards in terms of range and integration options. Thanks to the IO-Link interface, the sensor offers flexible setting options and data storage.


Wide Variety of 1D/2D Code Scanners with PROFINET

Wenglor sensoric has released 19 new models of their C5PC series of 1D/2D code scanners, once again expanding its portfolio. The WebLink user interface pre-installed in each scanner guides users to install and set up the scanners, even without any programming knowledge. From now on, the C5PC series will be available in variants with static focus or auto-focus, with resolutions of 0.3 megapixels, 1.2 megapixels or 5 megapixels and with optics in SD, HD or LR. There are seven different focal distances between 50 and 1,200 mm. The scanners can be easily integrated into systems via PROFINET.


PROFINET over TSN in Automation Systems

The grinding tracks installed in the Moog Rekofa GmbH’s slip rings have been “reinvented”. In the past, simple CuBe rings were used. Today they are coated with precious metals and thus guarantee a robust data transmission up to 1 GBit/s. Therefore, when it comes to “PROFINET over TSN”, Moog Rekofa sees itself as ready for Industry 4.o. Thanks to its long PROFINET experience, it is already possible to transmit the required data rates in conjunction with very low response times deterministically. Standardized connectors according to PI’s current standard are also used here.
