In this edition of Regional News, PI UK, PI Japan, and PI Netherlands share their upcoming events and activities. PI UK will hold a seminar on PROFINET, PROFIBUS, and IO-Link; PI Netherlands is excited to announce their PROFIday event; PI Japan will host their 19th PROFINET Open Seminar オ online.
News from PI UK and PI Brazil. PI UK participated in a virtual event in January on industrial networks and IIoT communications. PI Brazil has reelected its boards of directors, created two new working groups, and started a national node survey.
This month's issue comes full of international news: Italy concludes a successful workshop; PI Southern Africa is set to exhibit at Electra Mining Africa 2020; PITC UK says goodbye to one of their founding members who is heading for retirement; and the IO-Link China Community is officially established.
On June 26th, PI UK and Endress+Hauser hosted a fruitful event in the city of Manchester. The seminar addressed key practical issues arising from the use of digital communications technologies in automated manufacturing and process industry applications.

Global news this month centers on events in the UK, the United States, Germany, and Italy. Industrie 4.0 enablers are to be featured at a PI event at Wrexham Glyndwr University. Free PROFINET one-day training classes resume in the USA following a summer recess. ABB will host German-language PROFIBUS DP / PA workshops in November. And an IO-Link workshop is planned for October 11 in Turin, Italy.
