IO-Link Enabled Mass Flow and Pressure Sensors

Alicat Scientific has added IO-Link to its list of communication options for Alicat mass flow controllers, pressure controllers, mass flow meters, and pressure transducers. With this release, manufacturers and industrial customers can incorporate market-leading features of Alicat instruments, via IO-Link technology. Distinct from many IO-Link devices, Alicat’s instruments deliver not just one function but monitor many kinds of process data such as temperature, pressure, and flow—with a capability for flexible precise control, as well.

3m Range, Miniature Photoelectric Sensors with IO-Link

With the Q2X series from Banner Engineering, Turck is offering compact miniature photoelectric sensors with maximum detection ranges and five different detection modes for a wide range of applications. The opposed mode sensor offers a range of up to 3 meters and prevents detection errors thanks to a large functional reserve. The polarized retroreflective sensor offers a fast response time of 600 μs and an industry-leading range of 3.3 meters. The devices allow access to measured values and extended diagnostics via IO-Link.

Laser Sensors with PROFINET Interface

The optoNCDT 1900 laser triangulation sensors from Micro-Epsilon are used for automated displacement, distance and position measurements in industrial processes. In applications such as automotive manufacturing, 3D printing, coordinate measuring machines, injection molding, packaging and CNC machines, as well as in the battery industry, smartphone production, robotic applications and wood processing, they provide high accuracy measurements. With the integrated and PROFINET interface, the optoNCDT 1900 sensors can also be easily connected to control systems.

New VFD Inverter Variants with PROFINET

NORD‘s expanded NORDAC Pro SK 500p lineup comes in a variety of power ranges, from 0.25kW to 22kW, which can meet almost any requirements of drive applications across industries. The cabinet inverter allows for high levels of versatility and intelligence communication with system components, as it has a control standard across several applications. A PROFINET interface allows integration of the control component without the need for retrofitting. Additionally, a USB interface grants the voltage-free parameterisation of the inverter.
