PROFINET PA Certified Engineer Trainings Held

The first rounds of Certified PROFINET Engineer Trainings have occurred in the last few months, notably also training engineers on PROFINET PA.

Recently completed Certified PROFINET PA Trainings include:

  • April in Ontario, Canada
  • July in Córdoba, Argentina
  • September in Tennessee, USA

The July training was conducted by AUTEXOPEN, a company based in Argentina that is a certified PI Training Center and Competence Center in Latin America.

Hernan Bertotto, the trainer from AUTEXOPEN, had this to say:

With great satisfaction, from July 8 to 12, we provided the first Certified PROFINET PA Engineer training sessions to participants from Peru and Argentina.

When we first heard about Ethernet APL, we got involved from the start, visualizing how disruptive it would be for the process industry. With this first training session, and the other activities we develop around this technology, we are confirming the widespread acceptance of this concept.

We are one of the 5 training centers in the world providing Certified PROFINET PA Engineer training.

Ethernet-APL is the new physical layer that allows PROFINET to be brought to process instrumentation in hazardous environments, powering and communicating with only one pair of twisted wires, at a transfer speed of 10 Mbit/s, full-duplex.

These intensive courses provide extensive training on PROFINET PA, allowing participants to obtain the theoretical and practical knowledge necessary to design, implement, operate, optimize, diagnose and correct errors in these industrial communication networks, following the guidelines of PI.

The AUTEXOPEN training participants had this to say:

“I am very impressed; the course has helped me understand the operation of a PROFINET PA network, and to diagnose and monitor them.”

“It was a great course, the trainer was very willing to answer all the questions we asked; the course will allow us to reach a professional manner, enriching the services provided to our clients.”

The April training in Canada was conducted by JCOM Automation, and the September training in USA was conducted by the PROFI Interface Center.
