Touch and Touchless Buttons with IO-Link

Banner Engineering has added models with IO-Link to its portfolio of K50 indicators, touch buttons, and touchless buttons. IO-Link provides real-time control and access to a full range of colors that can be combined with multiple animations and color intensities. These combinations deliver process cues in the indicator, and both process cues and operator feedback in the touch button and touchless button.

New Network Adapters Deliver High-Performance Connectivity

Emerson has announced the release of new, compact LITE network adapters for the PACSystems™ RSTi-EP remote I/O system. Bringing higher performance in half the space of traditional network adapters, the new LITE network adapters deliver remote, real-time diagnostics to help simplify machine design and maintenance. Available with PROFINET, the network adapters are plug-and-play capable, making them easy to install and maintain in existing RSTi-EP products. They offer high availability and intuitive integration with existing systems.

Electro Cylinders with IO-Link Servo Technology

norelem has expanded its portfolio and now offers a compact, energy-efficient alternative to pneumatic cylinders: electro cylinders, or more precisely IO-Link servo actuators. These are ideal for all applications in mechanical engineering or medical technology where precise linear movements are required. The electro cylinders from norelem combine a brushless servo motor, servo controller and recirculating ball spindle in a single housing. Set values can be transmitted in real time, speeds, accelerations and positions can be variably adjusted and even complex servo positioning tasks can be performed via the IO-Link interface.

RTLS Gets omlox Upgrade

Pozyx has released a major update to its enterprise-grade positioning system. The RTLS v2025.2 update introduces two key capabilities. The first major addition is the introduction of three distinct positioning levels: Accurate, Approximate, and Presence. This new functionality allows customers to design deployments that match the required accuracy per area, reducing infrastructure where ultra-precise tracking is not needed. The second key feature in the release is a native omlox hub connector, allowing seamless integration with any omlox-compliant system. This enables a single Pozyx RTLS deployment to span across multiple zones, buildings, and floors, while remaining fully interoperable with the broader omlox ecosystem. It simplifies system architecture and opens the door to more standardized, vendor-neutral RTLS solutions.

Signal Light with IO-Link

With the new “MC55 High,” WERMA Signaltechnik expands its MC55 signal light series. The 55 mm diameter light has a higher dome, offering significantly better visibility–even from a greater distance or at unfavorable viewing angles. It can be flexibly integrated and is ideal for applications where status indicators must be in the operator’s direct field of vision, such as on machines, conveyor belts, in robot cells or on peripheral devices. The IO-Link version offers users maximum control and parameterization options. Functions, colors and statuses can be centrally configured and dynamically controlled via IO-Link.

LED Signal Tower Now with PROFINET

WERMA Signaltechnik is once again expanding its successful “eSIGN” LED signal tower series with a new version featuring a PROFINET interface. The eSIGN PROFINET supports both PoE and PoE+ and is connected via a 4-pin M12 socket – robust, industry-standard, and future-proof. With the introduction of the PROFINET version, WERMA now offers its customers two powerful communication variants within the same product family. While the previous IO-Link version is ideal for machine builders and applications with decentralized control architecture, the PROFINET version offers additional possibilities for use in large, networked production facilities and smart factory environments – including real-time communication, diagnostic functions, and PoE supply.
