News – Shaping the Future of Process Automation with MTP 2.0
Almost 40 experts met on September 30, 2024 in Frankfurt/Main, Germany, for the VDMA, ZVEI, PNO, NAMUR, DECHEMA and VDI round table. The aim of the exchange between module manufacturers, automation specialists, system integrators and users was to present the current status of modular plant engineering in the process industry.
With MTP 2.0, the system providers will soon be offering a comprehensive system of rules and standards that can be integrated backwards. For module manufacturers, MTPs are the solution for automation concepts with advantages such as shorter time-to-market, high flexibility and efficiency. However, there is a need for more industry-specific information on the wide range of modules available!
Users are now called upon to implement solutions – despite the initial additional work involved in converting the technology, concepts and planning and maintenance processes.
An open exchange between the various stakeholder groups and users is therefore still essential in order to develop the best possible solutions for everyone.
Webinar – Interoperability and Flexibility
Be part of a premiere! We are hosting the first webinar on the Module Type Package – Interoperability and flexibility with MTP 2.0!
There two webinars on December 11, 2024:
- Webinar for the European Time Zone – 8:00 am to 9:00 am CEST
- Webinar for the US Time Zone – 10:00 am4 to 11:00 am EST.
This webinar is aimed at the entire MTP community and all those interested in this promising new technology. You will not only get an overview of the MTP concept, use cases and the numerous advantages, but also learn how to build an MTP-compliant Process Equipment Assembly (PEA) and how to orchestrate multiple PEAs within the Process Orchestration Layer (POL). Discover everything you need to know about the new version of the MTP specification – MTP 2.0 – and the status and plans for MTP validation and certification.
In just 60 minutes, you will learn how you can strengthen your company with modular automation and easily implement flexible systems based on the Plug & Produce concept. See how modular production can shorten time-to-market, increase production flexibility and reduce investment risks. The webinar is free of charge for everyone – no risk and lots of added value!
