PROFINET Modules with MQTT Connectivity
With its latest firmware release, the WAGO I/O System Field PROFINET modules now support MQTT, and thus enables a future-proof connection to the cloud. Firmware Release 2 is now available in the WDC (WAGO Download Center) for the PROFINET modules and IO-Link hubs of the WAGO I/O System Field. The PROFINET modules can be updated via the web server and the IO-Link hubs via the WAGO IO-Link Configurator. A detailed description is also provided in the WDC.
Smart Web Edge Sensors with IO-Link
The new bks+ web edge sensors from microsonic are equipped with the latest IO-Link version 1.1.3. This enables seamless integration into modern production environments and further optimizes monitoring of the material position. The web edge sensors enable non-contact web guiding of highly transparent films, paper and other sound-impermeable materials such as corrugated cardboard, textiles or rubber. When used in dusty and dirty environments, the robust sensors are clearly superior to optical solutions. The web edge sensors offer a wide working range of 12 mm or 40 mm.
New PROFINET Controller Available
WAGO is happy to announce the PFC300, available with both PROFINET controller and device functionality. The PFC300 features a Linux operating system, CODESYS, a dual-core 64-bit CPU and 2 GB of RAM. The controller supports all digital, analogue and special-function IO modules from the WAGO 750/753 Series. It is also Docker- and cloud-capable, allowing integration of third-party open-source applications.
New PROFINET Controller Available
The new PLC500 from WEG integrates seamlessly with the CODESYS software platform that allows for intuitive programming and fast migration of existing applications, reducing development time and cost. Powered by a dual-core ARM Cortex-A7 processor running at 1GHz and a real-time ARM Cortex-M4 coprocessor operating at 200MHz, the PLC500 offers 1GB RAM and 4GB flash memory, ensuring it can handle complex industrial applications and multiple simultaneous tasks with ease. It includes one CAN port, one RS485 port, and two Ethernet ports that allow communication via PROFINET.
Industrial MPU Chip with PROFINET
The Renesas RZ/T2H industrial MPU is the most powerful member of its RZ/T2 series of real-time microprocessors. The MPU features four Arm Cortex-A55 CPUs for application tasks and two Cortex-R52 CPUs for real-time control. It supports 9-axis motor control with 3-phase PWM timers, delta-sigma interfaces, and encoder interfaces. It also supports PROFINET and, when available, TSN. The company also offers the RZ/T2H-EVKIT development board which features Gigabit Ethernet, non-volatile memory (QSPI, Octa Flash, eMMC), LPDDR4 memory, and interfaces like Pmod, Grove, QWIIC, and mikroBUS, as well as microSD, SD, and PCIe slots.
New SPE Media Switch for PROFINET
Hilscher has introduced a new product designed to integrate Single Pair Ethernet (SPE) into industrial Ethernet networks. In PROFINET networks, the SPE Media Switch can operate in either transparent or configured modes. In transparent mode, data is simply routed through the SPE Media Switch, which is invisible to the controller. In configured mode, the switch is mapped in the controller and can, for example, be assigned a fixed IP address. The connector type IEC 63171-7 will be implemented in sync with the finalization of the respective standard.
