Laser Distance Sensor with IO-Link
With a completely newly developed sensor design for laser distance measurement, Baumer is advancing into a performance range previously unattained in this class. The new and high-performance laser distance sensor OM60 further raises the benchmark for precision: ±3 μm maximum linearity deviation and 0.12 μm repeatability in a measurement range of 20 mm to 30 mm. With IO-Link, the OM60 can be parametrized easily and intuitively; additional data for condition monitoring is thereby made available.
Updated Tool for Embedded PROFINET Solution
Deutschmann Automation has updated the free Protocol Developer Tool for the UNIGATE IC2 PROFINET embedded solution. The communication module supplies reliable PROFINET connectivity and can be quickly and easily installed in a terminal device or sensor system. Implementation of the ready-to-use module can greatly optimise design times and time-to-market of the final product. The Protocol Developer features data-type independent algorithms and a pre-processor allowing for macro definitions, conditional compilation and operation with constants.
Next-Generation Pneumatic Valves with Higher Flow Rates
Emerson has released the latest stage of its next-generation AVENTICS™ Series XV pneumatic valve systems with new flow rates, configurations, accessories, UL certifications and more. After launching the AVENTICS Series XV03 in most world regions in July, Emerson has now released the XV03 valve for U.S. markets, as well as globally released the larger Series XV05 and a bottom-ported version of the XV03. The XV03 provides flow volumes up to 350 liters per minute in normal conditions (NL/min), and the XV05 provides up to 1000 NL/min. The valve systems currently support PROFINET, PROFIBUS DP, and IO-Link.
New Power Supply with IO-Link
PULS has announced its new 480W DIN-rail power supply CP20.248-IOL with IO-Link interface and integrated display. The CP20.248-IOL offers a 24 VDC power supply and provides efficient configuration, operation monitoring, and remote control. Using the built-in IO-Link interface and the front panel display, user-defined power supply and application data, such as the AC and DC quality of the system, can be monitored in real-time, allowing any operating changes needed to be made to the system quickly. The power supply can also be switched on and off remotely.
