Eclipse 706 High-Performance PROFIBUS Guided Wave Radar Level Transmitter
The Eclipse® Model 706 high-performance transmitter is a loop-powered, 24 VDC level transmitter that is based upon the proven and increasingly accepted technology of guided wave radar (GWR). Encompassing a number of significant engineering accomplishments, this leading edge level transmitter is designed to provide measurement performance well beyond that of many of the more traditional technologies.
PROFINET Now Supported on Perle IDS Industrial Switches
To get Ethernet devices networked immediately, the IDS plug and play switches can be directly installed and managed via PLC, NMS, HMI or SCADA systems using PROFINET. PROFINET protocol support is in addition to the already comprehensive set of management functions, including MRP (IEC62439-2), management VLAN, QoS, RMON, N:1 port mirroring, local alert log and IPv6.
PROCENTEC Mercury Diagnostics Solution
PROCENTEC launched its newest PROFIBUS and Industrial Ethernet diagnostics solution: the PROCENTEC Mercury. With an increased complexity of industrial networks, comes the need for devices that provide an easy-to-understand overview of the status and health of the networks. The PROCENTEC Mercury is a robust mobile tablet for delivery of our new cross-platform software package. This device is perfect for troubleshooting, maintenance and monitoring Industrial Ethernet and PROFIBUS networks.
Siemens: New redundancy controllers for mid-sized and large automation applications
Siemens is expanding its Simatic S7-1500 Advanced Controller range with three new CPUs for redundant automation applications. The CPU1513R and CPU1515R are used for small to medium-sized projects with a focus on CPU redundancy. If one CPU fails, the backup CPU automatically takes control of the process with no data loss and the process continues very quickly. As with the standard CPUs, the engineering of the redundancy CPUs is especially easy for users. The TIA Portal engineering framework and the redundant CPUs synchronize programs and data without the user having to intervene.
Turck: BEEP Simplifies Communication with I/O Modules
Turck’s new Backplane Ethernet Extension Protocol, or Beep for short, is simplifying the use of its TBEN and FEN20 multiprotocol block I/O modules. BEEP makes it possible to connect networks with up to 33 TBEN modules (1 master, 32 slaves) and up to 480 bytes of data to the PLC via a single IP address in PROFINET and other protocol networks. Through the reduction of the IP addresses, the user can quickly create high density I/O networks and also connect them with low-cost controllers.
