PI had a 300 square meter booth in Hall 9 –this year with a refreshed exhibit concept. While we continued to provide an overview of our PI technologies and offered our member companies the opportunity to showcase their products at our booth (355 devices from 79 vendors) via company kiosks, this year we also took the opportunity to attract “future OT experts”.
The company Adeptor, in Norway recently passed the accreditation process to become a PI Competence Center for PROFINET. Separately, ifak e.V., in Germany celebrated its 25th anniversary as a PI Test Lab, with particular focus on process control.
At last months PI Konferenz, more than 350 participants discussed trends and challenges in communications technology in Frankfurt, Germany. It has become increasingly evident that the digital transformation in industrial environments simply won't work without PI's technologies.

Three upcoming workshops in Germany to announce this month: PROFIsafe Certified Designer + Refresher courses in early October; an IO-Link Interoperability Workshop in early November; and an IO-Link Safety Plugfest also in early November.

Two successful events took place in Germany in September. A PROFIsafe user workshop hosted the PROFIsafe Working Group, 12 exhibitors, speakers and 33 workshop participants at HMS. Also, over 90 representatives from 43 international businesses gathered in Bad Soden for the latest IO-Link interoperability workshop.
