UK

Digital communication networks which are enabling major advances in manufacturing are to be showcased at a free seminar in Wrexham, North Wales

Industrie 4.0 is set to transform the UK economy over the next few years and will be the focus of the event at Wrexham Glyndwr University on Tuesday 26 September.

The seminar will help delegates understand how digital communication networks are a key factor when developing Industrie 4.0 solutions.

Central to the discussion will be the use and practical application of PROFIBUS, PROFINET, and IO-Link in industry. These three networks offer a complete solution for industrial automation in process and manufacturing plants.

Germany

ABB Workshop Z2160 – PROFIBUS made easy, 1-day Workshop (German language) in Germany:

  • November 7, 2017 in Hamburg
  • November 9, 2017 in Hanau

Workshop language: German!

The workshop teaches you the PROFIBUS in the theory and practice from the field device to the controller. You will learn the basics of PROFIBUS so that the design, calculation and commissioning of a bus system is no longer a challenge. In practical exercises you will learn by your own to select the right PROFIBUS network components and to calculate the bus topology. Another focus is the collectively start up of a small PROFIBUS application: from the physical build-up via the bus diagnostics, parameterization of a field device up to the integration in an ABB control system.
