The joint PI stand will have several new features at this year’s SPS IPC Drives in Nuremberg (November 28 – 30, 2017). Not only will the stand have a new position (booth number 2-539) in the usual Hall 2, but it will also feature a new booth design.
The joint PI stand is a real eye-catcher and central focal point among industrial communication exhibitors in Hall 2. Besides its existing elements, such as technological presentations on factory and process automation, the exhibit will also include a PROFIsafe system (with optical and electromechanical sensors, drives, controllers, gateways and functional IO modules) and a PROFIdrive live demo (presenting the profile’s interoperability, vendor neutrality, and scalability). The IO-Link community will be presenting its diverse range of products at the joint PI stand, with over 220 devices and with innovations related to IO-Link safety. Additionally, more than 30 member companies will be showcasing their own PI technology solutions and product ranges with individual presentations featuring a modern look and feel.
A visit to SPS/IPC/Drives is not complete without stopping by the PI stand. After all, the collaboration among controller suppliers and the IT and communication industries is the driving force for the future of Industry 4.0. Not only is the joint PI stand a place to find information on the current state of technology; it will also provide you with an overview of current developments related to PROFINET@TSN and OPC UA in PROFINET systems.
