Smart-Sensor Evaluation Kit for IO-Link
Featuring a 45.8mm x 8.3mm main board, the STMicroelectronics STEVAL-IOD04KT1 industrial-sensor kit simplifies the development of compact IO-Link (IEC 61131-9) sensors for fieldbus-independent point-to-point bi-directional communication. The main board integrates an STM32G0 microcontroller with ST’s L6364W IO-Link transceiver, IIS2MDC high-accuracy 3-axis digital output magnetometer, and ISM330DHCX iNEMO™ inertial module with machine-learning core. The companion STM32Cube software pack, STSW-IOD04K, provides the IO-Link Device Description (IODD) file, IO-Link demo-stack, and routines for managing the L6364W and MEMS sensors.
Decentralized I/O Solutions for Ex Areas
Turck has won approval for its IP67 block I/O modules for the TBEN-S and TBEN-L versions for use in Zone 2. It becomes thus the first supplier to enable cabinet-free decentralized automation solutions with ATEX and IEC Ex approval. In conjunction with the devices of the IP67-rated IMC interface series, it is even possible to implement the cabinet-free connection of intrinsically safe signals from Zone 0 or 1. Users can implement cabinet-free safety, RFID, IO-Link, controller or cloud solutions directly in Zone 2 since the entire Turck ecosystem is offered in these designs. Users must also install the TBSG-L, TBSG-S or IMC-SG protective housings when implementing the I/O solutions in Zone 2.
Single Pair Ethernet PCBoard Connectors
The MSPE series of Single Pair Ethernet connectors from Amphenol ICC is developed for smooth implementation of industrial Ethernet connectivity in factory automation and process control applications. MSPE Series connectors are designed in accordance with IEC 63171-6, which defines a standard interface for SPE, to ensure interoperability & investment security. Fully shielded, and with an ingress protection rating of IP20 for latch locking styles or IP67 for all other styles (per IEC 60529), this series is suitable for any environment where Ethernet-based protocols like PROFINET are used. MSPE Series connectors are compatible with 10Base-T1, 100Base-T1, and 1000Base-T1 Ethernet. MSPE Series connectors are also compatible with Power over Data Lines (PoDL), providing up to 50W of optional power.
