10 Port Gigabit Switch with PROFINET

eks Engel FOS has developed the Gigabit capable EL-1000-4GM switch series for PROFINET networks. It is available with up to eight copper ports and two SFP-Ports or fixed fiber optic ports to allow transmission over long ranges of several kilometers. As it is only 30mm wide, it allows a high packing density. The device is designed for a wide temperature range of -40°C up to 70°C and a wide power supply range (12-60 VDC). Redundancy procedures such as MRP and RSTP ensure fast reconfiguration of the network.

Encoderless and Safe Control of Drives via PROFINET

Safety functions without encoders reduce costs and increase process safety. The drive controllers COMBIVERT F6 and servo drives COMBIVERT S6 from KEB Automation are now certified in the device variant PRO for communication via the real-time Ethernet interface PROFINET. Here a flexible adaptation of the safety functions and limit values can be done via digital I/Os. Up to eight safety configurations are possible per function.

Left-Alignable Extension Modules for PLCnext Control

A left-alignable extension system adds functions not contained in the standard performance spectrum to PLCnext Control devices from Phoenix Contact. The AXC F XT PB module is a PROFIBUS master, which exchanges data with up to 125 PROFIBUS participants, both cyclically (DP V0) and acyclically (DP V1). The AXC F XT SPLC 1000 module functions as a safety-related controller up to SIL 3, to which a maximum of 32 PROFIsafe devices can be coupled.

New PROFINET-Enabled Pumps

Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Group (WMFTG) is extending its industrial Ethernet control offer by making PROFINET available on its 530, 630 and 730 series of cased peristaltic pumps. This additional communication capability allows customers to access fast, accurate performance data and seamless connectivity with modern PLC control systems and the Internet of Things (IoT) using PROFINET.

Compact 4-I/O Module for Intralogistics

Turck is now offering the TBEN-S1-4DXP Ethernet I/O module specifically designed for use in applications with a low I/O requirement – such as in logistics applications. The compact block module provides four channels that can be used flexibly as inputs or outputs, and in the design of the TBEN-S, which comes as standard with eight channels. It can be used automatically in PROFINET networks without any intervention by the user.

IP67 Power Supply Units with IO-Link

Turck is adding compact power supply units with protection to IP67 to its portfolio of flexible power supply units for 1- and 3-phase applications in modular machine building. The output voltage can be configured directly on the device via an LED interface or remotely via IO-Link. The smart IO-Link interface makes it possible to communicate with the power supply units and gives the data transparency needed for Industry 4.0 applications.

IO-Link via Modular Principle

With their IO-Link function modules, Leuze is introducing a powerful tool for manufacturers and operators: it renders the integration of IO-Link device data into PLC programs significantly easier. Users can simply and quickly transfer the function modules to the control program. Common control systems from manufacturers such as Siemens, Beckhoff, and Rockwell Automation are supported.

Field-Installable M12 D-Coded Circular Connector

Telegärtner adds a new variant with IDC contacts to its portfolio of M12 circular connectors. The IDC contacts accept solid and stranded wires with 7 and with 19 wires per conductor. PROFINET color coding is printed on the universal wire manager. It is IP67 rated and can transmit Fast Ethernet with data rates of up to 100 Mbps and PoE as specified in IEEE 802.3af.
