Finally, a real trade show! “Let´s create the industry of tomorrow!” – that is the key theme for this year’s industry-leading fair, Hannover Messe, in Germany. PI is happy to be a part of this year’s Hannover Messe with its joint booth from May 30 to June 2.
The concrete implementation of PI’s core topic, the implementation of industrial communication for Industry 4.0 and digitalization, has continued to evolve. And as an extension of this evolution, PI will present for the first time omlox, a locating technology that has been newly added to the PI portfolio. Together, the members will present an interoperable location technology based on ultrawideband and other mechanisms that can be orchestrated in both edge and cloud environments. Omlox makes an important contribution to flexible, transparent and resource-efficient production.
Another noteworthy achievement presented this year is the system supplement, “IO-Link Safety” (V1.1.3), which has now been adapted to the technical status for the IO-Link basic platform.
A “Process Automation Live Demo” will provide an overview of the PROFINET products available on the market for process automation. In addition, there will be a great variety of different devices from various manufacturers represented on the Factory Automation wall. Further, the advantages of the PROFIdrive application profile will be shown in their respective application classes. Trade show visitors can also look forward to live demos and presentations on the topics of TSN, security, PROFINET over OPC UA, as well as a completely rebuilt TSN demo with a greater variety of products.
