New Flowmeters Expand the IO-Link Portfolio
Endress+Hauser continues to drive digitalization at the field level by introducing IO-Link communication for its Proline Promag W 10, P 10 and D 10 electromagnetic flowmeters. The new devices combine flow measurement with seamless integration into modern automation architectures. The Promag W 10 addresses water and wastewater applications, while the Promag P 10 is designed for demanding process industries requiring high chemical resistance. The Promag D 10 offers a compact solution for water distribution and utility networks. All three devices benefit from the electromagnetic measuring principle, delivering flow measurement independent of pressure, density, temperature, and viscosity.
New PC Cards Combine PROFIBUS with PCI Express
Hilscher has expanded its netX 90-based portfolio for PC based industrial communication with two new PROFIBUS DP PC cards: the cifX PCIE90-DPS (PCI Express format) and cifX LPCIE90-DPS (Low-Profile PCI Express format). Both PC cards combine support for the established PROFIBUS fieldbus protocol with modern hardware as well as software and are designed to meet the requirements of the European Cyber Resilience Act (CRA). The PC Cards use the same platform approach as other netX 90-based communication solutions by Hilscher and include integrated security mechanisms. This allows existing PROFIBUS applications to be maintained on modern, updateable and secure PC card hardware.
New Analog Hubs for IO-Link
Belden has introduced a new range of LioN-X IO-Link Analog Hubs that connect analog sensors to any IO‑Link master. With 4 configurable analog ports plus 8 digital inputs on the same compact device, mixed signal types can be consolidated right at the machine edge. Powered over the IO‑Link connection, no additional power supply or M12 L-coded connection is needed. The LioN-X IO-Link Analog Hubs are built to bring existing analog signals—temperature, vibration, pressure, and more—into IO-Link without swapping the sensors themselves.
Current Monitoring Sensor with IO-Link
The S15C-CT Current Monitoring Sensor from Banner Engineering is now available with IO-Link, expanding Banner’s Snap Signal portfolio and giving maintenance teams an easy way to turn current from critical machine loads into amp readings and threshold status for display, trending, and monitoring in SCADA systems, cloud dashboards, or a local PLC/HMI. The S15C uses an included split-core current transformer installed around one line conductor in a power circuit to capture current data without disconnecting or rerouting power wiring.
IO-Link and Edge Processing in an IP-67 Design
Banner Engineering’s new DXMR190 Top Exit IO-Link Masters combines the intelligence of a DXM controller with an industry-standard top-exit form factor, making it ideal not just for new systems but also as an easy replacement for existing IO-Link masters without redesigning machine layouts or cabling. OEMs can reduce installation costs by standardizing on one device that provides advanced edge processing, protocol conversion, and cloud connectivity. With its IP67-rated housing, the DXMR190 IO-Link masters can be mounted on machines, putting M12 connections close to devices. A-code or L-code power ports (depending on model) can pass through power and share it with connected devices. Higher-amp L-code power simplifies cabling and installation by allowing more devices, including other IO-Link masters, to be daisy-chained without injecting extra power via splitters or power drops.
