Central Monitoring of PROFINET Networks
Softing Industrial Automation announces the official availability of plantPerfect Monitor 2.00. In addition to PROFIBUS, plantPerfect Monitor now also supports PROFINET, expanding its range of applications to Ethernet-based communication infrastructures. With this enhancement, Softing addresses the increasing adoption of hybrid communication structures in industrial environments. Users can now centrally monitor and analyze both traditional fieldbus and Ethernet-based networks within a single application.
Control Unit now with IO-Link Safety
Pilz has expanded its IO-Link Safety portfolio with the PITgatebox IOLS safety gate control for modern automation environments. Designed to work seamlessly with an IO-Link Safety Master, the control unit transmits real-time diagnostic data — such as gate status and operating conditions — directly to the plant controller. This enables faster fault detection, reduced downtime and improved machine availability.
Two-Finger Pneumatic Gripper with IO-Link
Festo has launched the HPPH two-finger pneumatic parallel gripper, a lightweight system designed to overcome collaborative robot payload and wiring constraints by integrating the controls, sensing, and certified safety functions directly into the gripper body. The HPPH weighs 1.5 lb. (0.68 kg), the maximum gripper opening is 0.63 in (16 mm), and the HPPH is suitable for handling objects weighing up to 2.2 lb. (1 kg). An IO-Link interface facilitates fast and easy configuration, and enables access to rich data and diagnostics.
