Laser Displacement Sensor with PROFINET

The optoNCDT 1900 laser triangulation sensors from Micro-Epsilon have received PROFINET certification, confirming their seamless integration into modern industrial automation environments. The optoNCDT 1900 laser triangulation sensors are used for automated displacement, distance and position measurements in industrial processes. For changing surfaces, Advanced Surface Compensation is available, which adjusts the exposure regulation quickly when the target surface changes. With the integrated PROFINET interface, the sensors can be easily connected to PLCs.

Distance Sensor with IO-Link

The optoNCDT ILR3800-100 laser distance sensor from Micro-Epsilon is now available with an IO-Link interface, making the sensor particularly attractive for applications in automation technology. Thanks to IO-Link, the sensor can be quickly and easily integrated into existing systems and commissioning is significantly simplified. Another advantage becomes apparent during operation: if a sensor needs to be replaced, re-parameterization happens automatically. A recent firmware update for the ILR3800 offers additional performance. The integrated auto-correction automatically filters out extreme values and ensures stable and precise measurement values. The DYNAMIC preset was specially developed for dynamic measurements and reacts particularly quickly to sudden changes in distance.

Inductive Ring Sensors with IO-Link

TURCK is expanding its portfolio with inductive IO-Link ring sensors for the reliable detection of small metal parts. The highly configurable BIxR-W20 sensors address typical tasks in feeding systems, conveyor systems, and machining centers, replacing conventional variants with fixed functionality with a standardized, IO-Link-capable device concept. Users benefit from a reduction in the number of variants as well as additional diagnostic and process data, which is available directly via IO-Link. A key feature of the sensors—which are available in eight ring diameters ranging from 6 to 50 mm—is their flexible configurability: sensitivity, switching logic, output type, and static or dynamic operating mode can be set via both IO-Link and a teach adapter.

Pyrometer with IO-Link

Optris is expanding its CTi pyrometer platform with the IO-Link digital interface. With IO-Link, Optris further expands the CTi series with a particularly user-friendly interface for the field level. Standardized 3-wire cables significantly reduce wiring effort, while automatic parameterization in the master enables fast sensor replacement without downtime. In addition, users benefit from extended diagnostic functions and continuous condition monitoring. Digital data transmission ensures high measurement accuracy of the CTi pyrometers, while parameters can be adjusted remotely at any time — ideal for hard-to-access or safety-critical areas.

Valve Positioner with IO-Link

EBRO ARMATUREN has introduced the MS3 electric positioner, combining electric actuator mechanics, control electronics, and digital connectivity for on/off and modulating applications. Its connectivity features include IO-Link technology for simplified integration into automation environments. Integrated sensors monitor angle, temperature, and vibration. These functions are intended to help identify potential faults at an early stage. The positioner is available with torque ratings from 60 Nm to 1,000 Nm, covering a broad application range.
