Multi-Touch Display with IO-Link
Banner Engineering has introduced the S100 Multi-Touch Display, a low-profile 100 mm operator interface for routine point-of-use interaction. The IO-Link model allows a PLC to update touch functions, display text, and LED indication at runtime, allowing machine builders and system integrators to create task-specific operator prompts, local input confirmation, machine-state indication, and guided interaction without maintaining a separate HMI application. The S100 combines up to five capacitive touch zones, an alphanumeric display, audible alerts, and 16 RGB LEDs in an IP69K-rated housing.
Secure Plug-in Communication Module for PROFINET
Hilscher has expanded its embedded communication portfolio with the NRP H90ICF8D8, a cyber-secure plug-in communication module designed for compact industrial devices requiring PROFINET connectivity. Based on the company’s netX 90 multiprotocol communication controller, the module enables device manufacturers to integrate certified PROFINET communication while preparing products for future cybersecurity requirements. The compact module measures 18 × 45 × 9.7 mm and interfaces with the host processor via an SPI-based Dual-Port Memory. A 52-pin SMT connector with screw fixation provides a robust mechanical connection suitable for industrial environments.
Machine-Mount Power Supply with IO-Link
Omron has launched an IP67-protected power supply designed to be mounted on machinery, outside of the control panel. The S8NR supply spans ratings from 90–600W, 24V DC. The 360W and 600W versions have up to six individually protected outputs. A maintenance-forecast function tracks the condition of the supply’s capacitors and reports (in years, and as a percentage) when it will need replacing, allowing maintenance to be planned before any failures. Data can be read, and the supply configured, remotely via IO-Link.
ATEX-Certified Pressure Transmitters with IO-Link
AMSYS is expanding its range of pressure transmitters. The compact ATEX-certified P.Trace and P.Core series have recently been added to the portfolio. The P.Trace focuses on classic measured value via analog output. P.Core complements this design as a compact ATEX pressure switch with two PNP-outputs and IO-Link. Beyond a simple pressure measurement, the P.Core series offers switching and parameterization functions whose values can be integrated directly into automation systems.
