Four IO-Link User Workshops will take place over the next few weeks in the countries of Hungary, France, Germany, and Italy. Additional workshops targeted towards IO-Link device manufacturers include an Interop and an IO-Link Safety Workshop, both taking place in Germany.
The new “Cobre Panamá” project by Minera Panamá S.A. in Colón, Panamá will produce 300,000 tons of copper, 100,000 oz of gold and 2,500 tons of molybdenum every year. A series of successful PROFIBUS training sessions were conducted on-site by AUTEX-OPEN, a PITC/PICC based in Argentina, to get them ready for production.

On June 26th, PI UK and Endress+Hauser hosted a fruitful event in the city of Manchester. The seminar addressed key practical issues arising from the use of digital communications technologies in automated manufacturing and process industry applications.
It all started in 1994 when Endress + Hauser Italia, SAIA Burgess Italia, and Siemens Italia founded what is now known as "Consorzio Profibus e Profinet Italia". This year the organization proudly celebrates its 25th year anniversary. During all these years, it has been a key promoter of PROFIBUS, PROFINET, and IO-Link technologies. Grazie Italia!
Enthusiasm in the PROFINET developer community’s well-established Plugfests continues to surprise us! Dozens of developers from different companies came together to test their new products. There was a special focus on testing redundancy features such as MRP, S2, and DR.
Last month the IO-Link Member Assembly took place in Frankfurt, Germany. Dozens of members came together and learned about the new V1.1.3 specification and other future-oriented topics: wireless, safety, profiles, etc. Up next, join us at the IO-Link Interop Workshop in Germany in October!
