PI is looking forward to meeting the community again at this year’s SPS trade-fair. From November 14-16, PI in Hall 5, Stand 210 offers the opportunity to discover the latest technologies and innovations in the field of industrial automation. At the generous exhibition booth with over 100 co-exhibitors, visitors will be given insights into the continuous development of PI technologies, including exciting technology updates, highlights, and the future of industrial automation.
An important novelty can be discovered on the Industry 4.0 wall of the trade-fair booth: the new security demo, which clearly shows how PROFINET security works. This also makes security possible at the OT level. The demo gives both users and manufacturers a better insight into their own planning and implementation.
The PROFINET over TSN demo is another highlight on the Industry 4.0 wall. It not only presents the function and benefits of this technology, but also highlights the current state of implementation, as many technology providers have already started to integrate!
Furthermore, the OPC UA Safety Demo will be exhibited. Here, PI will show how safety communication can be easily established even with more flexible systems with changing controls.
The overall wide variety of manufacturers and device types will be shown on the Factory Automation Wall.
PROFIdrive will be presented via a multivendor live showcase. Eleven drives from different manufacturers impressively demonstrate what the perfect interaction looks like in a demanding drive application. At least as impressive is the digitalization system on display, which shows the virtualization of planning, commissioning, and operation. Here it becomes clear what enormous potential a common high-performance profile platform offers.
Thanks to its openness, IO-Link has already found great acceptance around the world. The integral realization of functional safety is increasingly becoming the standard in automation. With IO-Link Safety, the IO-Link community is responding to this trend. This will be demonstrated with the functional demo system with IO-Link Safety devices from 7 manufacturers. In addition, the IO-Link Multivendor Wall will also be presented at the joint stand, which will showcase a large number of products from different manufacturers.
This year, omlox positioning technology convinces with a world premiere: Solutions to touch and comprehend. Together with omlox partners, hardware and software solutions based on the new omlox V2 specification will be shown for the first time in a live demonstration.
With the completion of the specifications and guidelines, PROFINET over APL opens all doors for use in process automation. The Process Automation Live Demo provides an overview of the PROFINET products available on the market for process automation, which has been supplemented by a range of PROFINET products with an Ethernet APL physical layer. Visitors will also have the opportunity to interactively operate the system structure based on PROFINET and PROFIBUS PA.
Finally, don’t miss the impressive multivendor live demo of MTP technology, recently added to PI’s technology portfolio, which allows complex production systems to be built modularly and flexibly reconfigured.
