PROFINET S2 Extension for Intelligent MCCs
The PNU32.0 from ABB is a PROFINET communication interface for the company’s Universal Motor Controller UMC100.3. Its unique flexibility allows it to be mounted either directly on the UMC100.3 or separately on an adapter in the cable cabinet, maximizing uptime. It features PROFINET S2 system redundancy, which supports the use of two controllers and automatic switching between them in the event of a main controller failure, ensuring continuous operation.
Fixed-Mount Code Reader with PROFINET
To address multi-code reading and positioning challenges, Omron recently launched the V440-F fixed-mount code reader that can be configured to simplify applications with a single model. The code reader can be mounted as a C-Mount vision sensor, allowing for various configurations, and can read up to 400 codes simultaneously. A PROFINET interface is available for the high-speed transfer of data.
Valve Manifolds with PROFINET and IO-Link Connectivity
Norgren’s portfolio of VR Series valve manifold solutions has expanded with a comprehensive array of connectivity options for industrial users. The VR Series now includes PROFINET and IO-Link connections and is available in two body sizes – 10mm and 15mm. A plug-in sub-base allows valves to be exchanged quickly with up to 24 solenoids for prompt installation and no plumbing interruptions.
Onboard Drive and Control Makes Stepper Motors “Smart”
Delta Line has expanded its offering of motors with integrated electronics to include stepper motors. These smart stepper motors eliminate the need for a separate drive and controller, providing a complete stepper motor solution in a single device. The size 57 and size 60 stepper motors use stepless control technology for 65,536 steps per revolution and have torque ranges from 0.55 to 3.1 Nm. Communication options include PROFINET, so the motors can be easily connected to any industrial network.
New PROFINET-Compatible M8 D-Coded Interface Family
By using this very compact HARTING M8 D-coded product family it is possible to design very compact IP65/67 PROFINET device like sensors, vision cameras and so on. Offering the same performance as the well-known M12 D-coded interface, the new M8 D-coded PROFINET interface is 30% smaller in size. Designed according to IEC 61076-2-114, PI has already implemented this new Ethernet connector into its ‘PROFINET Cabling and Interconnection Technology Guideline’. The fully shielded connectors are available with screw or PushPull locking mechanisms.
Absolute Rotary Encoders with PROFINET and IO-Link Connectivity
SIKO GmbH is expanding its broad range of rotary encoders with a range of new industrial rotary encoders. The absolute optical single- and multi-turn encoders WV5850 and WH5850 are high-resolution and designed for real-time applications. In the PROFINET version, they support cycle times down to 31.25 µs and the PROFIdrive profile. On the other hand, the new absolute encoders WV3650M and WH3650M are genuine “door openers” for Industry 4.0 applications with their integrated IO-Link interface.
Belt Scale Integrator with PROFIBUS Communcations
The Thermo Fisher Scientific Ramsey Flex is a complete solution for belt conveyor scale management, designed from the ground up to meet industrial requirements for bulk material handling. The belt scale integrator can be used with new belt scales or retrofit projects, as well as in single-conveyor projects and complex multi-scale systems, according to the company. The technology aims to maximize connectivity, including compatibility with PROFIBUS, for centralized control room operation or remote access.
Measuring and Switching Multi-Talent
The innovative ODT 3C sensor from Leuze can handle both measuring and switching tasks. The new 2-in-1 solution is thus suitable for a wide range of automated industrial applications. The ODT 3C transmits measurement values and extensive diagnostic data via IO-Link. The data includes temperature values, warnings, and signal quality. The operating range can be easily adjusted via the teach button, line, or IO-Link.
