Consorzio PI Italia welcomes its first IO-Link Competence Center. And Consorzio PI Italia takes center stage at chem.tech.2026 with a talk on Module Type Package (MTP).
Make plans to attend two events hosted by PI Italia - the first event is focused on MTP in Milan in September, and the second event is a dedicated day on IO-Link in October in Padua.
Innovate, Protect, Connect: these are the 2025 keywords of Consorzio PI Italia. This year, the Consorzio's efforts will take the shape of three major events that address current and decisive issues for the future of factories.
In the wake of the success of its first edition, Consorzio PI Italia's event dedicated to IO-Link technology is back. On October 1, at Palazzo de' Rossi, near Bologna, the event "IO-Link: From the Field to the Cloud. Second Edition" will occur.
On February 18, 2021, Consorzio PROFIBUS e PROFINET Italia members' meeting was held digitally. During the meeting, the new Board of Directors, new members, and a recap of 2020 were all presented.
This month's issue comes full of international news: Italy concludes a successful workshop; PI Southern Africa is set to exhibit at Electra Mining Africa 2020; PITC UK says goodbye to one of their founding members who is heading for retirement; and the IO-Link China Community is officially established.
Four IO-Link User Workshops will take place over the next few weeks in the countries of Hungary, France, Germany, and Italy. Additional workshops targeted towards IO-Link device manufacturers include an Interop and an IO-Link Safety Workshop, both taking place in Germany.
It all started in 1994 when Endress + Hauser Italia, SAIA Burgess Italia, and Siemens Italia founded what is now known as "Consorzio Profibus e Profinet Italia". This year the organization proudly celebrates its 25th year anniversary. During all these years, it has been a key promoter of PROFIBUS, PROFINET, and IO-Link technologies. Grazie Italia!
