New PI Competence Center (PICC) for Norway
Recently Dr Hassan Kaghazchi, Chairman RPA Ireland, audited Adeptor in Oslo, Norway, as part of the accreditation process to become a PI Competence Center for PROFINET. Adeptor is already a PICC and a PI Training Center (PITC) for PROFIBUS, and intends to extend their range of services to PROFINET.
The origin of Adeptor’s involvement in the PI community goes all the way back to mid-nineties with AD Elektronikk AS being the first RPA Norway service center. Later they evolved into becoming a Competence Centre as well as Training Centre for PROFIBUS. In recent years AD Elektronikk AS has become the Industrial Communication division of Adeptor AS. Adeptor has offices in Sandnes, Bergen, Oslo, and Kungälv. Thus, it serves both Norway and Sweden with PROFIBUS competence and training. And now, also formally PI accredited for PROFINET.
PI Test Laboratory and Competence Center Celebrates 25 Years
For more than 25 years, ifak e.V. Magdeburg has been operating a Competence Center and a Test Laboratory authorized by PI. The Test Laboratory has continuously expanded its testing services and has long offered device testing for PROFINET RT/IRT, PROFIBUS DP, PROFIBUS PA, PROFIsafe and FDI Package Tests. This year, PA Profile Tests 4.02MU1 and Ethernet APL Conformance Test were added as additional offerings.
Successful completion of these examinations is a prerequisite for applying for a certificate at PI.
Thanks to its many years of experience, the Test Laboratory is a competent partner in all questions concerning the certification of your device. The regular reauthorization ensures the PI Test Laboratory of ifak maintains the necessary competence, independence, and objectivity for the tests.
